Dentsply Sirona Primescan Review

 

The CEREC Primescan is an extremely fast intraoral scanner, capable of scanning a full arch in under 45 seconds, being reliable and easy to use. It has a simple and intuitive user interface that has been a flagship of the CEREC system for decades.
The CEREC software produces life like high-definition colour images.

 

It utilizes the latest intraoral scanning technologies and has a large scan head due to the focusing - defocusing focal filter with the scanhead, hence moving parts which allow rapid acquisition of data.
The enlarged scanning window allows for larger and wider field of acquisition
The scanner is capable of dynamic scanning depths up to 20mm capturing deep margins implants and even post preparations

It is available only in a CART version and unlike omnicam, it has an inbuilt heater in the scanner tip avoiding fogging.It scans metal and edentulous spans with ease and is the most accurate scanner on the market with a cross arch accuracy and margin detail of 8.6 microns It is offered as a full cerec workflow scanner or as a connect unit for digital impressions.
